The NHS England information governance portal brings together national guidance on information governance to help Caldicott Guardians, and others, understand how to use information appropriately to support care.

The IG guidance is clear and consistent for everyone working in health and care organisations. Its production is overseen by the Health and Care Information Governance panel (HCIGP), whose membership includes the National Data Guardian and the Information Commissioner’s Office.
